Who we are and how to contact us

Menuzi ("Menuzi", "we", "us", "our") is a software service provided by Bytes Maestros AB, a company registered in Sweden (org.nr 559468-7831), Sjödalsvägen 18, 141 47 Huddinge, Sweden. In Egypt, Menuzi is operated and supported by our authorised operator Menuzi Software Solutions LLC (commercial registration no. 32640), under licence from Bytes Maestros AB. Bytes Maestros AB is the provider of, and contracting party for, the Service worldwide.

The Service

Menuzi is a business tool that lets you create, design, host and publish your menus online, including an optional menu-import feature that helps bring in an existing menu. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Who may use the Service

The Service is for businesses. By creating an account you confirm that: (a) you are at least 18 years old; (b) you are using the Service for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession (not as a consumer); and (c) you are authorised to enter into these Terms on behalf of the business you represent, which will be bound by them.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@menuzi.com of any unauthorised use.

One account per brand. An account represents a single brand. Multiple branches or locations of the same brand may operate under one account. Separate brands require separate accounts — and, once paid plans are available, a separate subscription per brand. A brand is a business or shop name (for example, "X Sushi"). A branch is an individual location of that brand (for example, "X Sushi — Stockholm", "X Sushi — Gothenburg"); branches of the same brand operate under one account.

Plans, fees and changes

Early Access (free). During our current Early Access period the Service is provided free of charge. We may introduce paid subscription plans in the future.

Changes to plans, features and pricing. We may change, add, restrict, or remove features, introduce or change pricing, and move features between free and paid plans. For changes that materially and adversely affect your existing use, we will give reasonable prior notice (for example, by email or in-product). We may introduce new plans or tiers at any time without prior notice. Introducing paid plans, or changing prices for the future, is not by itself an adverse change to your existing use.

Early-Access feature retention ("keep what you built"). Where a feature offered free during Early Access later becomes part of a paid plan, that feature will remain enabled on any menu that you created and published using it during Early Access, for as long as Menuzi continues to lawfully operate the Service in your country. This retention: (a) applies only to menus that were published with the feature during Early Access — not to drafts or unpublished menus; (b) does not allow you to use the feature on a different or new menu, or to apply it to new edits or content added after the feature becomes paid; (c) confers no entitlement to the feature beyond the period during which Menuzi operates the Service in your country, and we make no commitment to retain any feature beyond that period.

Future paid terms. When paid plans launch, additional terms covering billing, renewal, taxes, cancellation and refunds will apply to those plans and will be presented before you subscribe.

Your content and the rights you give us

Your content. "Customer Content" means the menus, text, branding, images, prices and other materials you upload or create. As between you and us, you (or your licensors) own your Customer Content.

Your warranties. You confirm that you have all rights necessary to upload and use your Customer Content (including any images, logos, names or third-party material it contains) and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or any law. This applies equally to anything you upload to the menu-import feature.

Licence to operate the Service. You grant Menuzi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize or format images), publish and display your Customer Content for the purpose of providing and operating the Service (including publishing your menus to guests and serving them via our content-delivery and image infrastructure).

Insights and product improvement. You also grant Menuzi the right to access, scan, analyse and inspect Customer Content and usage of the Service in order to operate, secure, support, analyse, improve and develop our products and services, including generating aggregated and/or de-identified insights, statistics and analytics. We do not currently use your Customer Content to train our own machine-learning models; if that changes, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We will handle any personal data within Customer Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Menu-import accuracy. The menu-import feature may produce inaccurate or incomplete results. Its output is a starting point only; you are responsible for reviewing and correcting any menu data before publishing. We do not warrant the accuracy of imported output.

Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service unlawfully or to publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive or harmful content; upload malware; attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service (except as permitted by law); scrape or overload the Service; or resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that breach these Terms or the law.

Advertising on free menus

Menus published on a free plan may display Menuzi branding and/or third-party promotional content. We will tell you (and update our Privacy Policy and Subprocessors list) if and when advertising that involves tracking technologies is introduced.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including the Menuzi software, design system, templates, trademarks and all related intellectual property, is owned by Bytes Maestros AB and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service per these Terms. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, hosting, storage, email, error monitoring, analytics, and providers that help process uploaded content). The providers, their general purpose and their location are listed on our Subprocessors page, and their handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.

Warranties and disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement) and do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that imported output will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Menuzi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (which, while the Service is provided free of charge, is zero) and (b) EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Indemnification

You will indemnify Menuzi against third-party claims and losses arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.

Term, suspension and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or the law, or if required to do so. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your account and Customer Content after a reasonable period; export any content you wish to keep beforehand. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are different things (relevant once paid plans exist). Sections that by their nature survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) continue after termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-product) and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and the courts of Stockholm, Sweden have jurisdiction — without prejudice to any mandatory rights or protections available to customers under the local law of their place of establishment, including, for customers in Egypt served by Menuzi Software Solutions LLC, any mandatory provisions of Egyptian law.
