We’re hiring
Founding Sales Executive
I’m Ibrahim, founder of Menuzi. Two years ago I kept watching restaurant owners fight their own menus: clunky tools, designs they couldn’t update without help, hours lost to something that should take minutes. So we built Menuzi, a dedicated menu management system that brings a restaurant’s menu online as it should be. Snap a photo, our AI imports the whole thing, style it to match the place, and go live. It’s free to start.
Most restaurant tech treats the menu as an afterthought bolted onto a POS. We treat it as the thing itself, and I believe that approach is the right one. The product is young: the foundation is solid and live today, with a lot more on the way. We went live just two weeks ago, Alexandria is wide open, and right now the only person selling Menuzi is me.
That’s where you come in.
The role
You’ll be our first sales hire, building the entire commercial motion from zero. This is a full-cycle, on-the-ground role. On any given week you’ll:
- Hit the field: walk into cafés and restaurants in Alexandria, start conversations, and find the person who can actually say yes.
- Pitch and demo: show owners what Menuzi does and why their menu deserves better than an ugly PDF behind a QR code.
- Get them live: help them create an account, import their menu, style it, and publish. A sign-up that never goes live doesn’t count; a restaurant using Menuzi does.
- Catch the inbound as it grows: as owners start finding us online, you’ll be the one who picks them up, onboards them, and gets them live.
- Grow the accounts: check in, make sure they’re getting real value, and help them move onto our paid plans as we roll them out.
- Bring the field back to us: you’ll hear what owners love, hate, and wish for. That feedback shapes the product directly. You’re our eyes and ears.
What “founding” means here
It means you’re first. You’ll build our sales motion from scratch and set the standard the team that follows is measured against. How Menuzi grows in Egypt will carry your fingerprints, and your voice will shape what we build and who we hire next.
Who I’m looking for
- You get restaurants. Whether you’ve sold to them, worked in them, or sold restaurant tech, you understand an owner’s day, what they worry about, and who really makes the call. That fluency matters more to me than a polished sales CV.
- A hunter. You’re energized by starting conversations with strangers, you don’t fold at a “no,” and you chase the next door.
- Consultative, not pushy. You’re helping owners see what’s possible, not strong-arming them. Warmth wins here.
- Organized and self-driven. Nobody’s going to hand you a list every morning. You build your own pipeline and follow up relentlessly.
- A native Arabic speaker. You’ll be selling to Alexandrian owners in their language all day, with enough English to work with me and the team and navigate the product.
- Comfortable in the field. This role lives in restaurants and cafés, not behind a desk.
- A plus: experience in sales or SaaS. Valued, though restaurant know-how matters to us just as much.
You don’t need a fancy CV. You need hustle, judgment, and the ability to make an owner believe.
Why this is exciting
- A product you can actually stand behind. Menuzi solves a real, daily frustration, and it’s beautiful. You won’t be selling vapor.
- Real earning upside. A competitive base plus performance-based commission, and your earnings grow as the company does. The harder you work, the more you make.
- You’re early. First sales hire, ground-floor timing, real impact. As we grow across Egypt, you’re positioned to grow with us and lead what you helped build.
- Direct line to the founder. You’ll work with me, not through five layers. Tight feedback, fast decisions.
Logistics & benefits
- No office, always in the field. We’re a fully remote company, so there’s no office to commute to for anyone on the team. For this role it means you’re out among restaurants in Alexandria most of the time. Your workplace is the field, not a desk.
- Proper employment through Menuzi Software Solutions, with social insurance.
- Transport/mobility allowance and a phone & data allowance. You’ll be moving around, and we cover that.
How to apply
Send me your CV and a couple of lines on why this role is for you. Better yet, tell me how you’d get five restaurants in Alexandria onto Menuzi in your first week. That’ll tell me more than any cover letter.
Let’s build something restaurant owners will love.
